September 4-9, 2005...Freeport Fishing Conditions, Winds were NE about 15-20 MPH, Surf Muddy, Current Strong South, and Bait of Choice was Mullet or Crab. Not the best of conditions, but for a few Die Hards...Persistence paid off.

September 14, 2005... Surf was Muddy, Current was Running North, Tide was High, Bull Reds hit Early in Evening about 9pm.
Good Place to get Breakaway stuff
September 29 through October 3-2005 Finally allowed onto Quintana Beach for fishing!!!! Yeah! Tide was out and terrain was mild and bait was hard to come by... some crab was substituted when the mullet ran out. Beach was fairly active... some campers, some fishermen, some drivers by... it was a very successful fishing night to say the least!

Q Beach was nice to us again as it gave up it's best large redfish. We even caught a small shark about 28 inches long. The cold weather has definitely set in as we await more redfish and drum.
